Environmentalism with an EDGE! 10/02/2009
We have our first Volunteer Wrapper Recovery Team of 25 high school students! Today, Dayne met with an environmental club called EDGE, here in Waterloo Ontario, at Bluevale Collegiate Institute. We had amazing response, and the kids are so excited to be a part of S.O.U.L. and the XWI! Here in Ontario, high school students are required to complete 40 hours of community service in order to graduate. Our Wrapper Recovery Team will complete some of their hours by being involved in the project! Thanks to Beth, an EDGE member, for having Dayne come and speak to your awesome club! You know, I really do believe in this young generation. I believe it's a generation of compassion, awareness and action. Young people can do so much more than we give them credit for sometimes.... and if they are given the opportunity to do good and make change, they will rise to the occasion! If you know of a group of young people who would LOVE to be involved in environmental and humanitarian outreach, send me a message! "Everyone can make a difference one wrapper at a time." ♥ Jinelle It has definitely been a thrilling Thursday for S.O.U.L.! We've been featured in MXI's Thrilling Thursday newsletter! Go check it out... Thank you so much to Andrew Brooks for his support and for spreading the word about S.O.U.L. and the XWI! AND my interview with Xocai Double-Diamond Executive Angelina Girard is up! Visit DnAlive TV (under Menu, Going to the Top in Toronto), watch it on YouTube, or watch it on our Home page! Eat chocolate... change the world. ♥ Jinelle |
